Inkjet cartridges are extremely popular: most computer users are familiar with inkjet printers, as they provide relatively high quality printing and can be used in a variety of industries. The principle which inkjet cartridges use is very straight forward and easy to understand.
Inkjet cartridges are available in the market for various prices. Inkjet cartridges are the main reason why printers are so cheap these days. Printers are offered as sacrifices so that companies can sell you inkjet cartridge refills for a lifetime.
The problem with this scenario is that inkjet cartridges do not cost very much to make, but the printer companies will sell them to you for a huge profit because they know that you are stuck with buying their inkjet cartridge replacements for the life of your printer.
Printers are hungry machines, aren’t they? They go through paper and inks really quickly in a busy office or home. Printers are essentials for office computers as well as for home pc’s. Almost every person at home needs a printer to print his/her work, pictures and other important documents. Printer ink costs a small fortune. Now tell small business owners something they don’t already know.
Compatible cheaper cartridges are mainly available for printers that use simple reservoirs as ink cartridges (such as Canon and Epson) because they are easy to copy. Hewlett Packard (HP) and Lexmark integrate the print head into the inkjet cartridge and protect it by patents, making it difficult for companies to make generic version of these ink cartridges.
Inkjet cartridges are refilled for reuse and returned to the consumer stream as a more environmentally friendly option.
Compatible EPSON cartridges cannot be refilled with much success. They have a very porous sponge in the cartridge which fills with air as the ink leaves. Compatible cartridges may also contain a chip (like the original); these are called Chipped Compatible Cartridges.
Refilled inkjet cartridges are both OEM and non-OEM cartridges that have been refilled using a do-it-yourself refill kit or at a retail refill shop such as Cartridge World, Rapid Refill or Caboodle Cartridge. Refilling Epson inkjet cartridges may or may not work well. The difficulty arises because of the configuration of Epson printers.
